The MMI-4310 and -4311 VMEbus audio boards require no application software changes and include an auto-recognition feature that allows them to operate with older boards that may be in users’ systems. The MMI-4311 uses four DSP chips to provide four stereo input and output channels.
The MMI-4310 also uses four DSP chips and offers four mono input and output channels. An optional firmware/software package (DiSPATCH) features real-time digital mixing of up to 24 asynchronous audio streams for each DSP chip, support for many data formats, and real-time compression and decompression.
